Siladen Resort is an exclusive boutique dive resort located on Pulau Siladen, a lush tropical island in the heart of the Bunaken National Marine Park. The property is located on the western side of Pulau Siladen on a 300 meters long stretch of white coral reef beach facing the Manado Tua volcano. A large free form salt water swimming pool is located in the heart of the resort close to the restaurant, the reception and the lounge bar. The pool features private sun beds with umbrellas and beach towels. The Bunaken National Marine Park (BNMP), where the Indian and Pacific Oceans meet, is composed of the islands of Siladen, Bunaken, Manado Tua, Mantehage and Nain. It covers a total area of over 890 square kilometers, hosts 390 different species of corals, is a center of marine global biodiversity and ranks among the top diving destinations in the world.
The Marine Park is known for its rich macro life and is mostly characterized by wall dives rich in hard and soft corals. Pelagics such as reef sharks, eagle rays, barracudas, tuna, napoleon wrasses and turtles are also a common sight. There are over 50 dives sites within easy reach of the Resort. All dive sites around the 5 islands of the Marine Park are wall dives whereas dive sites alongside the coast of North Sulawesi are mostly dark sandy slopes with corals. A wreck site is also available for diving in the Manado bay. Siladen Resort also often organise day trips to the soft corals of Bangka Island (North of Siladen). This area has many different dive sites with different topography. Slopes, pinnacles, walls and sea mounts. Many of the dive sites have beautiful and very colourful soft corals.
Siladen Resort is a 5 Star PADI Resort. The resort has Nitrox, 4 diving boats, rental equipment and ensures a guide to guest ratio of 1:4. A camera room is available for photographers and videographers. The diving schedule at Siladen is organized to offer you the maximum comfort. At 8am every morning divers meet at the resort’s diving center. Boats leave right after 8am to allow guests to enjoy two morning dives and return to the resort for lunch before 1pm. Afternoon diving is available every day at 3pm. Mandarin fish dusk dives are available with right tidal conditions and only need a minimum of 2 divers, the boat leaves at 4:30pm. Night diving is available every evening at 5:30pm, as long as there is a minimum of 2 divers.
