Triton Bay Divers Resort is the only resort in Triton Bay. The resort has 6 spacious detached bungalows, all with sea views. Each room is equipped with a large ceiling fan and a desk with power sockets so you can edit your photos and charge your camera for the next days diving. At the end of your day you can relax on your bungalow’s deck or enjoy a hot water shower in your private garden bathroom. The resort’s dive centre is located at the far end of the beach and inside you will find your own personal storage area where your dive equipment will be kept during your stay. The resort has been built using sustainable natural local materials which blend in with the tropical surroundings. Any wood from trees that had to be removed has been utilized elsewhere throughout the resort using local craftsmen and traditional techniques whilst still allowing for a modern touch.
You can enjoy three delicious meals plus a local afternoon snack every day in the resort’s spacious open air dining room, which is designed to make you feel at one with nature. Eat, chat and hangout with new friends or simply relax between dives watching the waves lapping on the beach. There is free coffee, tea and water available all day. Soft drinks and beer are also available at the bar and will be billed to your room.
Triton Bay Divers Resort offers three guided boat dives per day, usually 2 in the morning and 1 in the afternoon, with the option of an additional sunset or night dive. Best of all, they do not limit their dive times to the standard 60 minutes. The Dive Team will take care of your equipment and clean it for you at the end of each day and before you leave. There are also rinse tanks for your camera equipment as well as showers for you to rinse off between dives.
Diving Triton Bay
The species diversity at Triton Bay rivals that of Raja Ampat, with Dr Gerald Allen identifying 330 different species of fish on a single dive, and the spectacular soft corals can rival those found in Fiji. Many of Triton Bay’s best dive sites are found in the Iris Strait, which runs between the mainland and offshore Aiduma Island. Highlight dive sites include Little Komodo, Seventh Heaven (aka Larry’s Dive Heaven), Batu Jeruk, Bo’s Rainbow, Macro Rocks and Disneyland. At these sites you can expect everything from Turtles, Bumphead Parrotfish, huge Groupers, Wobbegongs, Epaulette ‘Walking’ Sharks, schooling Jacks, Barracuda, Mackerels, Rainbow Runners and Fusiliers to Pygmies (Denise, Bargibanti and Pontohi), Solar-powered Nudibranchs, Wunderpus, Blue Ring Octopus, Frogfish, Flasher Wrasse and Ornate Ghost Pipefish. Triton Bay is also home to Bagan fishermen, and similar to Cendrawasih Bay, Whale Sharks can often be found feeding under their Bagan fishing boats.
