Maldives 7 and 10 night itineraries
The MV Carpe Diem offers 10 night and 7 night itineraries which change depending on the season. Each trip offers a unique dive itinerary based on the seasons, current and pelagic migration patterns. Atolls visited include Male, Ari, Rasdhoo, Raa, Baa, Noonu, Lhaviyani, Felidhoo, Meemu, Thaa, Laamu, Huvadhoo, Fuvahmulah and Addu. Cruises are often centred around Ari atoll with an extension to either the South (Felidhoo, Meemu, Thaa and Laamu) or to the North (Baa, Raa, Noonu and Lhaviyani). The Southern extensions are mostly known for their channel dives to see lots of sharks, including Whale Sharks, Hammerheads, Silvertips, Silkies, Tiger Sharks and Grey Reef Sharks. This is particularly true for trips that venture to the most Southern atolls of Huvadhoo, Fuvahmulah and Addu. Fuvahmulah atoll (a.k.a. Foammulah atoll) has been identified as a nursery for Tiger Sharks and these sharks are now regularly spotted around Fuvahmulah. The Southern channel dives are for experienced divers who enjoy the currents required to see the big pelagics. The Northern extension to Baa, Lhaviyani and Noonu atolls concentrate more on a large variety of fish and good coral life. These dives are mostly pinnacle dives and have less current.
