Wakatobi is located off the south east corner of Sulawesi, and comprises several islands including Wangi Wangi, Kaledupa, Tomia and Binongko. The marine diversity in Wakatobi rivals that of Raja Ampat and generally offers relaxing diving with very little current, making Wakatobi a firm favourite with underwater photographers. Close to Tomia, on the island of Tolandono is one of Indonesia’s most famous resorts – Wakatobi Dive Resort. More than forty dive sites can be easily reached from Wakatobi Dive Resort and there is also the option to venture further afield on their luxury dive yacht – The Pelagian Liveaboard. Divers joining the Pelagian can discover the outer reaches of the Wakatobi National Park, including islands such as Wangi Wangi, Buton, Kapote, Hoga, Binongko, Kaledupa and Tomia.
